I have been a passionate champion of developing careers throughout my roles, whether mentoring and advancing the skills of direct reports, leading the standards of advisors supporting job seekers or now within my own private practice. Demystifying the job search process for new seekers, those returning to the workforce or those looking to reach new heights in their careers brings the clarity and confidence necessary to present strongly to employers. Theories key to the successful search include both Super’s Developmental Theory of the need for fully informed and positively reinforced self-concept as well as a robust utilization of tools adapted from Holland’s Vocational Choice Theories to point the way in new job options. After decades as an operational leader in banking, real estate, communications and higher education, I am now focused on translating my experiences as well as the working knowledge provided in the Career Development Facilitator curriculum to benefit the advancement of my clients own careers. I am most appreciative for the affirmation and encouragement of my instructor Marie Smith and look forward to staying connected to the community she creates to support her clients.
