My name is Kim Lunt. My passion is career development. I enjoy helping others to find/see their gifts and talents and be able to sell themselves to employers. I enjoy being able to teach and train individuals on topics related to self and career development.
I obtained my degree in Operations Management and worked in that field for 12 years. I found through working in management that the best part was helping my employees to develop themselves both personally and professionally. So, I eventually moved into teaching Career Development and Computer Skills at the College of Lake County. I have been teaching for the last eight years and have loved every minute of it. I have resume discussions during my classes and I help students write their resumes in the computer skills class. I also work part-time for the Adult Education department at College of Lake County. I manage the login process for adult ESL and GED students. I train teachers, trainers and students and also coordinate the computer lab schedules and training sessions. I have also assisted with resume writing at the Lake County Job Center.
The Resume Writing and Editing program was extremely informative. My instructor, Marie Smith, was very knowledgeable, up-to-date and informed on current trends in resume writing. She is truly passionate about what she does and this makes the class even better. I would highly recommend this program to anyone in this field.
