My name is Sheri Eisch. I am a career counselor for Gateway Technical College in Wisconsin. I LOVE my job! My true love is to work with students in career development. It is a very rewarding career; I have the pleasure to work with a diverse group of students who actively seek guidance. I get satisfaction knowing that students leave my office with the tools necessary to make good decisions about their career paths.
I have more than 15 years of experience working in the counseling field. In the past, I worked as a counselor at the Workforce Development Center helping job seekers. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Wisconsin Parkside and a Master of Science in Counseling from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
My hobbies include reading, crochet and beading. I love learning about new technology and keeping up with the younger generation. I look forward to spring and summer because that means camping with my husband and two kids. All my friends know I am an extreme animal lover. I enjoy spending time with my two dogs and my little parrot.
I am a Career Development Facilitator (CDF), Certified Resume Writier and Editor (CRWE), and Certified Career Coach (CCC)
The Certified Career Coach (CCC) reinforced the value of helping skills, coaching models, and methodologies. I strongly recommend this program to new and experienced career development professionals.
The Certified Resume Writier and Editor (CRWE) program is a very comprehensive and allows an employment professional to review and enhance their skills. One of my favorite parts is the opportunity to post on the blog and share insights with others who work in employment guidance and counseling. The instructor was welcoming and insightful. I would highly recommend this training for anyone who wants to improve or add to their skills as an employment professional.
The Career Development Facilitator (CDF) is a wonderful, comprehensive program. My CDF Instructor was welcoming, encouraging and insightful. It was easy to see she shared the same excitement for career counseling that I have. I would highly recommend this training for anyone who wants to strengthen their skills as a career development facilitator. ~Sheri Eisch
