Dr. Michele Fero has more than a decade of experience working in higher education, including time spent teaching, tutoring, performing administrative work, and most recently, providing academic advising. Part of her role as an academic advisor includes helping students at various stages of the career development process. Having worked in several different fields prior to higher education, she especially enjoys helping students connect academic, personal, and career trajectories. Dr. Michele Fero is a Career Development Facilitator and a Certified Career Coach.
Michele holds a PhD in Rhetoric and Writing, and while she brought many skills to her current position, she did not have a strong background in career development. Completing the Career Development Facilitator (CDF) program has provided her with excellent resources that bridge the gap between her experiential learning and foundational research. The combination of theory and practical tools is just right. The CDF instructor, Marie Smith, clearly has a passion for career development and the CDF program.
In her free time, Michele enjoys writing and many fitness activities. She is from Michigan, but has enjoyed calling Wisconsin home.
