Dr. Chris Zanowski is dedicated to student development, community engagement, and social justice. Chris has extensive experience with providing academic advising and career development to college students – specifically first-generation, low income students and students with documented disabilities. He has comprehensive experience with conducting research, writing grants, designing and implementing innovative programs, developing curriculum and teaching university courses, analyzing statistical data, and presenting at local and national conferences.
Chris is the Director of Student Support Services TRIO at University of Wisconsin-Parkside. His previous positions include Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs at Saint Joseph’s College and House Fellow at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Additionally, Chris actively volunteers with Habitat for Humanity. Chris is adventurous, compassionate, and committed to helping students succeed. Chris’s advice to others, “Be persistent, follow your dreams.”
Chris has a Doctorate in Higher Education, Loyola University Chicago (May 2008). Dissertation: The Four-Year Tribal College Experience and Its Impact on American Indian Students: A Study In Culturally-Based Education, Master of Science in Education Specialization in Administration and Curriculum, Purdue University (August 1988), and Bachelor of Business Administration Major in Marketing and Management, University of Wisconsin-Madison (August 1982). Dr. Chris Zanowski is a Career Development Facilitator, Certified Life Coach and Certified Career Coach.
